Andrew Gurd is a master thatcher from a long line of roof thatchers. His traditional skills have been honed over the years and handed down from 3 generations of master thatchers. Andrew's thatching has even been immortalised on a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. The Longparish cottage, bearing his distinctive roof thatching, is depicted on the cover of the jigsaw puzzle box. Andrew's master craftsmanship (picture on the right) is still recognisable even 12 years after the cottage had been thatched.
